It was just a decent option for a rapid stop in Yarrow with very good value for money. The portion sizes of the fish and chips were generous, and the atmosphere was lively despite being busy. Try the fish and chips. they're really tasty and filling.

The location feels so peaceful, tucked away in beautiful scenery. Our room was comfortable, with lovely views of the fields. The hosts really made us feel welcome and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Food was a standout. both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with generous portions. One morning, they even prepared sandwiches for us since we had to leave early for a marathon. The only downside was the cold tiles in the ensuite bathroom, which was uncomfortable at night, but everything else made up for it. A few more dessert options on the menu would have been great, but we loved the sticky toffee pudding we tried. A charming place overall. We would definitely return.

The tiled bathroom floor was pretty chilly, especially when I had to use it during the night, which might not sit well with everyone. The hotel seemed quite remote, ideal for peace and quiet but lacking nightlife or nearby entertainment options for those looking for a more vibrant atmosphere.
